Royalty Administration International (RAI) administers the worldwide registration and administration of BLOOMZ Plant Variety Rights (PVR); Plant Breeders Rights (PBR) and USA Plant Patents.
BLOOMZ has now been with RAI for over 6 years and are confident that their representation of our registered products is of real value. We meet regularly and maintain regular dialogue with the various specialists within RAI - both in the Holland based Head office and the Colombian office in Bogota.
RAI was established in 1984 and has grown over the past 25 years to become a company with 30 employees and branches in the Netherlands, the United States, Colombia and Japan. RAI works for more than 250 breeders with a total of 180 different plants.
Nellie Hoek, RAI's founder, is fully occupied with plant breeders' rights both nationally and internationally and she regularly stands up for the breeders to give them the vital support needed to be able to expand on the innovations within the field. Maarten Leune joined RAI in 2001 as a joint partner and director. He is currently a member of the CIOPORA board, a collaboration of breeders throughout the world that works toward improving the legislation relating to plant breeders' rights in the different countries.
Luis Enrique Acevedo is responsible for leading the RAI team in Central and South America.
