In the last week of June New Zealand Prime Minister Mr John Key was accompanied by 25 businesses and a large press contingent on a State visit to India.

This was in support of the new Free Trade Agreement currently being negotiated between the two countries. The PM was accompanied by the Minister of Overseas Trade, Mr Tim Groser and a number of senior Ministry and NZTE ( NZ Trade & Enterprise) officials involved in the negotiations
Our CEO, Andy Warren  was invited on the trip and has reported the magnificent response of Government officials and Business Leaders in India.
Andy met with our local distributors, Sheel Biotech and led a delegation for high level meetings in the development of fruit trees for Northern India. Accompanied by Mr Peter Beaven , CEO of Pipfruit NZ, they met with several high ranking Indian Ministry of Agriculture secretaries and Directors.
A feature of the 4 day tour was the inclusion NZ cricketing legend, Stephen Fleming, who in cricket mad India was the centre of much attention. Stephen was a tremendous ambassador for our country and was hugely helpful in the development of friendly relationships.
